Elevare Fit LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Gauntlix platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

Account information: email address, username, display name, and password (stored in hashed form).
Profile information: avatar, hero configuration, and any optional profile details you choose to add.
Payment information: if you purchase Premium Features, our payment processor (not us) collects your card details. We receive only a tokenized reference and billing summary.
User Content: any forum posts, chat messages, or other content you submit.

1.2 Information We Collect Automatically

Gameplay data: game scores, XP earned, time played, and leaderboard rankings.
Usage data: pages visited, features used, and session duration.
Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs.
Cookies and similar technologies: we use session cookies for authentication and analytics cookies to understand usage patterns. See Section 6 for more.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Create and manage your account.
Operate the Platform, including calculating scores, XP, and leaderboard rankings.
Process payments and provide Premium Features.
Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, purchase receipts).
Send optional marketing communications (you can opt out at any time).
Detect and prevent cheating, fraud, and abuse.
Improve and personalize the Platform.
Comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

Service providers: third parties that help us operate the Platform (authentication, hosting, analytics, payment processing). These parties are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
Affiliates: other businesses under the Elevare Network brand, subject to this Privacy Policy.
Law enforcement: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Elevare Fit LLC, its users, or the public.
Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.

Public leaderboard information — including your username, display name, rank, and score — is visible to all users of the Platform by design.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (e.g., payment records) or where it is necessary to prevent fraud or enforce our Terms of Service.

Aggregated, anonymized data (e.g., total games played, average scores) may be retained indefinitely.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate personal data.
Delete your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
Object to or restrict certain processing.
Port your data to another service.
Opt out of marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in those emails.

6. Cookies

We use the following categories of cookies:

Essential: required for the Platform to function (e.g., keeping you logged in). Cannot be disabled.
Analytics: help us understand how users interact with the Platform. You can opt out by adjusting your browser settings or via our cookie banner.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies for third-party ad targeting.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Gauntlix is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at mlitfin@elevarefit.org and we will delete that information promptly.

Users between 13 and 17 should use the Platform only with parental or guardian consent.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed password storage, and access controls on our databases. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we become aware of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

9. Third-Party Services

The Platform is built on Supabase for authentication and database services, and may use other third-party services. These providers have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. Links to external sites (including those in the Elevare Network) are subject to those sites' own privacy practices.

10. International Users

Gauntlix is operated from the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR. Contact us at mlitfin@elevarefit.org to exercise those rights.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
