Community Guidelines

Gauntlix is a competitive platform built on skill, fairness, and respect. These Community Guidelines apply to all users — in games, on leaderboards, in profiles, and in any future community features like chat or forums. They exist alongside our Terms of Service, which govern your use of the platform legally. Violating these guidelines may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent bans.

1. Compete Fairly

The integrity of competition is the foundation of Gauntlix. Every player deserves a level playing field.

• No cheating. Do not use bots, scripts, macros, auto-clickers, or any tool that automates or assists gameplay.
• No exploits. If you discover a bug that gives an unfair advantage, report it — don't use it. Exploit reports should go to mlitfin@elevarefit.org.
• No score manipulation. Do not attempt to inflate scores, manipulate rankings, or coordinate with others to game leaderboards.
• No sandbagging. Deliberately losing to manipulate ranking systems is not allowed.

Scores we determine to be illegitimate will be removed. Accounts found cheating will be banned without warning.

2. Respect Other Players

Compete hard, but stay respectful. We have zero tolerance for behavior that makesGauntlix a hostile place.

• Do not harass, threaten, bully, or target other users.
• Do not use slurs, hate speech, or language that demeans others based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or any other characteristic.
• Do not send unsolicited or unwanted messages to other users.
• Do not dox — do not share another person's private or personal information without their consent.

3. Keep Your Profile Appropriate

Your username, display name, avatar, and any profile content are visible to all users, including minors.

• No offensive, sexual, hateful, or impersonating usernames or display names.
• Do not impersonate real people, celebrities, other players, or Gauntlix staff.
• Profile content must follow the same standards as all other community content below.

We reserve the right to rename accounts or remove profile content that violates these standards.

4. Content Standards

Any content you post — in forums, chat, or elsewhere — must follow these rules:

• No adult or explicit content. This is a platform accessible to users aged 13 and up.
• No graphic violence beyond what is incidental to game themes.
• No spam. Do not post repetitive, off-topic, or promotional content without authorization.
• No misinformation. Do not spread false information that could mislead or harm other users.
• No illegal content. This includes content that infringes copyright, promotes illegal activity, or is otherwise prohibited by law.
• No solicitation. Do not advertise, sell, or promote external products or services without our written consent.

5. Protect Everyone's Privacy

• Do not share personal information about yourself or others in public spaces (real name, address, phone number, etc.).
• Do not record, screenshot, or share private conversations without all parties' consent.
• Do not attempt to identify anonymous users.

6. Respect Intellectual Property

• Only post content you own or have the right to share.
• Do not reproduce or distribute copyrighted material — song lyrics, images, articles, game assets — without authorization.
• Do not post links to pirated content or tools for circumventing copy protection.

7. How We Enforce These Guidelines

We review reports from users and monitor the platform for guideline violations. Depending on the severity and history of the violation, consequences may include:

• A warning.
• Content removal.
• Temporary suspension (hours, days, or weeks).
• Permanent ban.
• Referral to law enforcement for serious illegal activity.

We do not guarantee a specific response timeline. Enforcement decisions are made at our sole discretion and are final. If you believe your account was actioned in error, contact us at mlitfin@elevarefit.org.

8. Reporting Violations

If you see something that violates these guidelines, please report it. You can use in-platform report tools (where available) or email mlitfin@elevarefit.org with a description of the issue and any relevant screenshots or context.

Reports are confidential. We will not reveal who filed a report to the reported user.

9. Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these guidelines as the community grows. Material changes will be announced on the platform. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
